This is a TH 9 design that features a mostly centered CC. A key feature is that defensive buildings are outside the CC Range Ring. As you can see below the CC ring is within the main part of the base making it harder to draw out.
Hidden teslas are great for this strategy, since they are not seen to the attacker at first and are completely hidden. Most Crystal/master Hog raids would look for the perfect area to get to the nearest defense building to lure out your CC troops. if you study the base layout. The Wizard Towers and cannons/archer towers in this base layout near the bottom would be prime targets, this base was designed to be this way as part of the trap. NOTE: One of the weakest parts of this base is the bottom, this is where an attacker will most likely drop their troops and attack from.
The Black arrows in the diagram on the right shows the original Hog Rider attack path once dropped. Assuming that the Hidden Tesla Tower isn't being upgraded. A hog rider would be stopped in their tracks once it pops up, and the Hog Rider attack path instantly changes and runs towards the Tesla Tower illustrated in Red Arrows. After it destroys the Tesla Tower, it will then head into the next section or straight ahead right into the giant bomb destroying most of them. NOTE: Giant Bombs got a HUGE buff this update so it would be a waste if they were outside the walls. (FYI Giant Bombs don't destroy your own walls when they blow up. Mainly talking to 3ternity xD) |
When using this design by the time the attacker got to the CC and got the troops out(after expending significantly more troops), it was already 1 min gone from the raid. Time is an essence in a raid, and with 2mins remaining in the attack, the percentage of being able to 100% 3-Star is quickly diminishing.
Asides from Hogs, this tactic pretty much works for any army as there will always be good attackers looking to lure CC troops first.
